Roth Composite Machinery Launches Hydrogen Storage Container Manufacturing Equipment: Duplex Filament Winding Machine: FWA 1 Duplex

Germany-based Roth Composite Machinery strengthened its presence in the hydrogen sector as it revealed plans to showcase its new commercial vehicle and hydrogen transport-focused technologies.


The company intends to launch its Duplex Filament Winding Machine: FWA 1 Duplex, which is essential for the production of large storage containers for applications such as commercial vehicles and hydrogen transport.

Filament winding is a technique for making hollow cans by winding a continuous bundle of fibers onto a rotating mandrel. Roth says that the ins new machine, which is capable of winding from both sides of the spindle, can cut winding times in half, which is also suitable for wet or dry and dipping procedures.

To demonstrate its machines capable of rapidly delivering storage devices critical to the widespread deployment of hydrogen, Roth will be at the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) in Anaheim, USA, October 17-20 (2022). ) on display as the European Hydrogen Technology Expo in Bremen, Germany, from 19 to 20 October 2022.
