ANDRITZ to supply Saint-Gobain glass fiber felt wet production line

International technology group ANDRITZ has received an order to provide a wet felt production line to Saint-Gobain ADFORS in the Czech Republic, which will be installed in its Litomysl plant for the production of glass fiber felts. The production line is scheduled to start in the middle of 2021.

The ANDRITZ neXline glass fiber wet felt production line is designed for high production capacity and includes equipment for pulping, wet-laying and applying adhesives. With this line, Saint-Gobain will produce high-quality fiberglass mats for multiple markets.

The innovative ANDRITZ tube, debinder and forming equipment guarantees a highly uniform fiber distribution with optimal structure during the felting process. This produces high-quality fiberglass end products.

For Saint-Gobain ADFORS, this is the second glass fiber felt production line at the Litomysl plant. The production line will not only increase production capacity, but also support the company's research and development of more complex, higher-quality applications and organic growth.

Jérémy Poiret, General Manager of European Industrial Fabrics, Saint-Gobain ADFORS, said: "We look forward to leveraging our many years of experience in the production of fiberglass felts and using ANDRITZ's new neXline wet production line to increase our market share in new areas of the fiberglass felt market.

Saint-Gobain ADFORS offers technical textiles for reinforcement and surface products for building materials and industrial applications. These products guarantee comfort, high performance and safety while addressing the challenges of sustainable construction.
