Arevo is building the world’s largest high-speed continuous carbon fiber reinforced polymer/CFRP additive manufacturing plant

Silicon Valley's Arevo company is transforming the production of composite materials through digitalization and automation technology. At present, the company is building the world's largest high-speed continuous carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite additive manufacturing plant.

The plant will operate in a rapid turnaround manufacturing and service (MaaS) mode. The factory will produce customized products on time. The strength-to-weight ratio of continuous CFRP composite materials can be more than 60 times that of steel, and can be used in elite-level bicycles, Formula One racing cars, and the latest generation of fighter jets.

With the completion of Arevo’s second-generation composite deposition technology, which is more than four times faster than the first-generation technology, the company plans to host hundreds of production systems in Asian city centers that have not yet been announced. This will enable the company to meet the rapidly growing customer demand for large and complex geometric CFRP products.

Today, key executives are on board to support and expand the business. Sonny Vu was appointed as CEO. Recently, Vu became the founder of Misfit, a wearable company acquired by Fossil, and Tuan TranPham (one of the longest veterans in the 3D printing industry for 17 years) has become CRO.

Hemant Bheda said: "The new team will be the key to our success in the new expansion phase. We need people with start-up experience, expanded technical business capabilities and deep industry experience in additive manufacturing." Areran Co-Founder and Chairman TranPham Said: "This will be one of the most ambitious and interesting opportunities I have seen in the 3D printing industry in the past 20 years. It is very exciting." Bheda continued: "We are now actively recruiting more Commercialization and technical talent."
