Arkema successfully launched a new ultra-high performance polyamide 12 powder production line at its Mont plant in France. As a result, the Group increased its global production capacity by more than 50% to support the growth in demand for rapidly growing industrial applications, especially in the coatings, personal care, composite materials and 3D printing markets.
The investment of this special polyamide powder in Mont France is about 20 million euros, which will help the group accelerate its strategy of developing advanced materials.
Arkema's special polyamide 12 powder is sold under the Orgasol® brand.
They are known for their extremely narrow particle size distribution and excellent toughness.
They are commonly used in high-performance formulations for the coatings and personal care markets, and advanced composite materials for the aerospace market.
Due to their stability and recyclability, they are also widely used in the rapidly growing 3D printing market
