Audia launches AudiaFlex™ series of sustainable thermoplastic elastomer TPE

January 13, 2021-Audia Elastomers, a global supplier of innovative elastomer materials, announced the launch of the AudiaFlex™ series of sustainable thermoplastic elastomers-the industry's first TPE product that meets the sustainable development needs of brands and consumers One of the combinations. The new AudiaFlex™ series consists of customizable grades, which are produced by post-consumer, post-industrial, bio-based and marine resources.

Frank Axelrod, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Audia Elastomers, said: "The AudiaFlex™ product line embodies Audia’s commitment to sustainable development. We directly respond to the market’s demand for new sustainable material choices, legislation for single-use plastics, and consumption. The growing demand for sustainable products and brand owners’ commitment to achieve sustainable development goals within the next five years."

AudiaFlex™ material is comparable to new thermoplastic elastomers in terms of touch, color, adhesion and hardness. A wide range of sustainable thermoplastic elastomer materials are already on the market, and they can compete with traditional thermoplastic elastomer materials in high performance applications. They can compete with traditional TPE, TPV and TPU chemicals in high-performance applications, and are used in personal care, household consumer products, consumer electronics, automobiles and toys. AudiaFlex™ grades are produced by Audia's factories in Lafayette, California, and Shenzhen, China.

The AudiaFlex™ series includes the OP series of thermoplastic elastomers based on marine waste plastics. Audia focuses on recycling beach cleaning materials, commercial fishing gear and marine plastics as raw materials for its OP series. The marine waste content in the products is as high as 45%, and the total content of recycled materials is as high as 70%.

AudiaFlex™ PC series are based on post-consumer recycled materials, providing products with a hardness of 5-50% PCR content ranging from 20 Shore A to 95 Shore A. These materials have a clear source of supply, consistent colors (such as yogurt cups), and meet FDA standard.

AudiaFlex™ PI materials are based on post-industrial sources, including customized circular solutions using customer-sourced materials. They contain 5-70% post-industrial recycling (PIR) content and have hardness ranging from 20 Shore A to 95 Shore A.

AudiaFlex™Bio is a supplement to a series of sustainable materials. According to ASTM D6866, it contains 5-90% bio-based ingredients. We provide specific formulations with hardness from 20 Shore A to 95 Shore A that are oxidatively degradable and compostable.

Audia's extensive sustainability efforts include the continuous development of sustainable materials for customers, and the focus on achieving zero landfill, reducing carbon footprint and sustainable operations.
