Aurora Plastics expands TPE portfolio with acquisition of Elastocon

Aurora Plastics announced the acquisition of Sounder Elaston TPE Technologies. This is the fourth acquisition in two years. This acquisition will continue to expand Aurora Plastics' product line, bringing more comprehensiveness to the company's PVC compounds, alloys, CPE alloys, low-smoke flame retardant concentrates, base materials and TPE compounds TPE composite capabilities.

In a press release announcing the acquisition, Aurora said: Elastocon has developed a comprehensive TPE production line that includes overmolding (secondary injection molding), injection molding and high-performance professional-grade technology. In addition, it can provide a unique transparent oil-free grade, which has excellent tensile and tear strength properties, highly elastic TPE suitable for various straps and pipe applications, and shock absorbing pads and bumpers. Scratch and stain resistant material. The secondary injection molding level of the integrated production line can be changed according to any soft touch requirements, producing compounds that are popular in the consumer and industrial markets.

Combined with Aurora's experience in extrusion and co-extrusion standardized TPEs, this merger will make it easier for customers to source the materials they need from a single channel.
