BASF PU and TPU materials used in Timberland PRO Reaxion safety shoes

BASF's PU and TPU materials are key materials for the new Timberland PRO Reaxion safety boots, providing industrial workers with the latest innovations.

Reaxion safety shoes have Timberland's proprietary Aerocore energy system, which combines the comfort and flexibility of sports shoes with the performance and durability of work boots.

Aerocore energy system consists of three layers: anti-fatigue technology insole, foam midsole and non-marking outsole. All layers work together to provide excellent energy feedback, comfort and grip.

BASF's Elastollan TPU is the highlight of the outsole component. It has excellent anti-wear and traction properties. The midsole and insole use Elastopan high resilience PU foam to provide all-weather support and comfort. BASF is able to customize the PU formula at the molecular level to provide the Timberland PRO team with the performance required for its new Reaxion safety shoes.
