BASF’s 3D printing brand Forward AM and Prismlab further strengthen cooperation in the field of 3D printing

Forward AM incorporates the preferred Prismlab photocurable polymer products into its Ultracur3D® series to further expand its product portfolio

BASF's 3D printing brand Forward AM and Shanghai Prismlab (referred to as "Plyson") signed a cooperation agreement in Shanghai, China. Prismlab is China's leading provider of photocurable polymer 3D printing solutions and is headquartered in Shanghai.

According to the agreement, BASF's Forward AM has integrated Prismlab's preferred 3D printing polymer products into its Ultracur3D® series. This is in line with the strategic development of BASF Forward AM, which is to create a comprehensive product portfolio covering key technologies in the additive manufacturing market. By establishing a cooperative relationship, Forward AM will strengthen its position in the Asian market while promoting the full application of 3D printing in all manufacturing industries worldwide.

According to the agreement, Prismlab will become the official distributor of BASF's Forward AM brand high-performance Ultracur3D® photocurable polymer products. With the exclusive product series "Ultracur3D® for Prismlab" and Prismlab's advanced 3D printing equipment, it will first be sold in Asia and gradually Expand into the global market.

BASF Ventures invested in Prismlab's innovative technology in 2018, and the two parties have started a partnership. In 2013, Prismlab successfully developed an exclusive 3D printing process based on photocuring technology (SLA)-Pixel Resolution Enhancement Technology (PRET), and obtained a patent. This patented process can be widely used in key customer areas, such as invisible braces and anatomical models for medical, educational and training purposes. In addition to this patented process, Prismlab also sells its high-quality 3D printing equipment and provides other related services.
