CAMX, THE COMPOSITES AND ADVANCED MATERIALS EXPO: Chomarat Engineered Textiles will debut with carbon fiber reinforced products such as rocket fairing molds

At the Advanced Materials Exhibition (CAMX, THE COMPOSITES AND ADVANCED MATERIALS EXPO), Chomarat Engineered Textiles showcased its carbon fiber reinforced products, including live demonstrations: rocket fairing molds, kayak paddles and flat plates, which will be available at Komtar's Partner composite materials exhibition area.

Chomarat Engineered Textiles carbon products are also available in the United States through the Composites One distribution network.

Demonstrating the unique attributes enhanced by Cofiner

For rocket fairing molds, kayak paddle boards and flat plate applications, C-Weave carbon fiber reinforced materials by Chomarat Engineered Textiles simultaneously provide unique and excellent visual appearance and structural performance. "In addition to C-Weave, kayak paddles include another reinforcement: G-flow, a two-in-one reinforcement for injection molding to enhance vacuum flow," Travis, Sales Manager and Engineer of Closed Mold Processing at Chomarat Engineered Textiles Irvin explained.

Live demonstrations of other skateboards will demonstrate the mass production potential of Rovicore, a well-known glass sandwich reinforcement created by Chomarat Engineered Textiles. "Rovicore is always at the forefront of LRTM process technology," he added.

In addition, Chomarat Engineered Textiles showed a motorcycle helmet that has exposed carbon fiber and is very lightweight, highlighting the characteristics of C-Weave. C-PLY tennis rackets will also be displayed at the show.

Carbon fiber reinforced tennis racket C-PLY, designed and manufactured

For tennis rackets, Chomarat Engineered Textiles highlights C-PLY, a multilayer carbon fiber reinforcement in which multiple layers of unidirectional fibers are placed at a specific angle. This reinforcement allows various structures: thin carbon layer (50gsm), shallow angle, unbalanced orientation, IM fiber and toughened veil. "Standard biaxial ranges from very light 100gsm with 12K fiber to 600gsm with 50K fiber. C-PLY is the best complement to structural design advantages, premium surface quality and overall part cost savings," Chomarat Engineered Textiles Composite Sales Manager Chris Mikesell concludes.
