On December 18, the CQZD Basalt Fiber Technology Group invested 5 billion yuan in the basalt fiber material industrial base project officially started.

CQZD is a leading enterprise in China's high-performance basalt fiber material industry. It has taken the lead in domestic production of ultra-fine basalt continuous fibers of 5μm and below. It is one of the few companies in the world that can have completely independent property rights in the field of basalt fiber.

The total planned advanced basalt fiber project is about 5 billion yuan. CQZD will build a national headquarters integrating the research and development, production, application and sales of new basalt fiber materials; establish a new basalt fiber material research and development center, focusing on the development of basalt inorganic fiber materials of 5μm and below Research and development and its application research in 5G wave-transmitting materials, automotive high-performance brake pads, new energy automotive battery insulation film, new aerospace materials, military products, etc.

CQZD`s newly-built basalt fiber production base covers an area of ​​1500 Mu. It is the largest high-performance basalt fiber material industrial base in China, with an annual output of 10,000 tons of 5μm and below basalt inorganic fibers, to build a collection of 5G hardware, composite materials, auto parts, and military products And other upstream and downstream industrial bases in the whole chain.

Continuous basalt fiber (hereinafter referred to as "CBF") is one of the four high-performance fibers (carbon fiber, aramid, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, and basalt fiber) that China has focused on developing. After being melted at 1450°C-1500°C in a melting furnace, it is a continuous fiber made of a platinum-rhodium alloy drawing slip plate.
