"The foamed ceramic we developed has a roasting temperature of 800 degrees, and the finished product can withstand a high temperature of 1000 degrees." Cui Yuehua said that at present, the thermal insulation materials widely used in the construction field, the raw materials used are ceramic clay, waste slag, etc. Thermal insulation effect, but because it contains a lot of organic materials, it cannot be fireproof. They started research 5 years ago, adding organic and inorganic foaming processes and processes to the process, not only making the foam ceramics light-weight, moisture-proof, waterproof and heat-preserving, but also making the foam ceramics resistant to high temperatures when fired at high temperatures. It can also be non-combustible and non-deformable at a high temperature of 1000 degrees, which is much higher than the high-temperature deformation temperature of other foam ceramics at home and abroad, which further improves the safety of foam ceramics.

At the same time, in order to realize the industrialization of this technology, the temperature of the initial 1300 ° C roasting was reduced to 800 ° C through technical research. Not only eliminates the nitrogen oxidation process in the air during high temperature roasting, but also avoids the environmental pollution caused by acid rain caused by nitrogen oxides in the production process, and reduces the firing cost by 1/3, breaking the monopoly of foreign products.

Cui Yuehua introduced that the results can be adapted to harsh environments, such as the production of a large amount of dilute sulfuric acid and sudden changes in temperature of hot and cold, in a thermal power desulfurization tower by modulating the composition of foam ceramics. The ultra-light density can float on the water for a long time and can be used for applications such as life-saving equipment or mariculture and planting. It is also a high-quality material for thermal insulation, flame retardant, thermal insulation and sound insulation for future planned buildings in China. They are actively conducting trial production and hope to apply it as soon as possible.
