In recent years, SHSH has devoted itself to creating a "domestic and world-class" carbon fiber composite new material technology innovation technology company. The carbon fiber composite materials produced by the company have successfully prepared carbon fiber sucker rods, carbon fiber wear plates, carbon fiber gears, carbon fiber reinforced steel and other industrial equipment materials. In addition, the carbon fiber reinforcement technology is unique in the field of engineering reinforcement, and is widely used in the repair of dangerous infrastructure such as highways, overpasses, high-speed rails, tunnels, and the consolidation of petroleum and petrochemical pipelines, high-corrosion equipment, and chemical buildings. . In August 2019, the aromatics department of SHSH's unit applied for the purchase of explosion-proof F wrenches. Explosion-proof F wrench is the main operation tool of the pipeline valve in the petrochemical industry, which has high requirements for explosion-proof and strong hardness. Traditional explosion-proof F wrenches are generally made of copper, with high prices and heavy quality.
Can we use the characteristics of carbon fiber that are 7 to 9 times stronger than steel and have excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and electromagnetic shielding, coupled with the super-strong toughness and ultra-light weight of polyester alloy, to develop and manufacture a new explosion-proof F wrench? Once the idea was proposed, SHSH decided to establish a project team for collaborative research and development by the Polyester Division and the Carbon Fiber Division.
At the end of 2019, the first batch of 20 small-size explosion-proof F wrenches were tried at the production site. According to the operating staff, the quality of the F wrench is about half that of the traditional F wrench. It is portable and easy to use. During several months of trial and practice, SHSH has continuously improved the formula and manufacturing process of new materials, and finally successfully manufactured the first generation of small-scale explosion-proof F wrenches, which passed the inspection of relevant national departments.
The relevant patent application work of the explosion-proof F wrench is in progress. Its advent will open new channels for Shanghai SHSH new material application.
