The PPS molecular chain is composed of benzene rings alternately connected by para-sulfur atoms. The molecular structure contains rigid, heat-resistant phenylene and flexible heat-resistant sulfide bonds, and the rigid structure of the benzene ring is composed of flexible sulfides The keys are connected, so the fibers have better heat resistance and thermal stability than conventional fibers. It has excellent strength, rigidity and fatigue resistance at high temperature. It can be used continuously at 200 ~ 240 ° C. It is stable in air or nitrogen below 400 ° C and has almost no weight loss. Its chemical resistance is similar to that of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), known as the "King of Plastics". It can resist the erosion of acids, alkalis, chlorohydrocarbons, hydrocarbons, ketones, alcohols, vinegar and other chemicals, and is insoluble at 200 ℃ In any chemical solvent. The PPS fiber is made of polyphenylene sulfide by melt spinning and has a melting point of 285 ° C. Amber color, strength 0.18 ~ 0.26N / tex, elongation 25% ~ 35%, initial modulus 2.65 ~ 3.53N / tex. With good heat resistance, it is mainly used as high-temperature filter fabric, withstand temperature up to 190 ℃. The fiber also has excellent chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance, as well as flame retardant properties. It can be used as flame retardant fabric, home decoration fabric, flue gas filter material, etc.

Excellent physical and chemical properties of PPS fiber products

① Excellent heat resistance: It has excellent strength, rigidity and fatigue resistance at high temperature. ③ Excellent flame retardant performance: The limiting oxygen index is 34 ~ 36, without adding any flame retardant, it can reach the UL-94V-0 standard, and the flame retardancy detection and analysis of the materials in the aircraft cabin is carried out by the test center of CAAC , Meet the requirements of CCAR 25.853 (d) and ABD0031 (7-4).

④ Excellent electrical properties: the dielectric constant is 3.9 to 5.1, the dielectric strength (breakdown voltage strength) is 13 to 17 kV / mm, and the volume resistivity is 4 × 1016Ω · cm. The surface resistivity is 8 × 1015Ω, the electrical strength is> 18kv / mm, and it can maintain good insulation under high temperature, high humidity, frequency conversion and other conditions.

⑤ Good physical properties: PPS is equivalent to polyester in strength, elongation and elasticity, and it has better insulation against gamma rays and neutron radiation than polyamide and polyester.
