Quantum Dot

Quantum dots, also known as nanocrystals, are nano-particles composed of II-VI or III-V elements. The particle size of quantum dots is generally between 1-10 nm. Because electrons and holes are quantum confined, the continuous band structure becomes a discrete energy level structure with molecular characteristics, which can emit fluorescence after being excited. Quantum dot materials have become one of the new materials that the industry continues to pay attention to, and are widely used in basic research and application development in the fields of light-emitting devices, solar cells, catalysis, biomarkers, and biomedicine.
