The size of the transparent magnesia-alumina spinel ceramic fairing that was subsequently developed can reach 200 mm in diameter and the size of the flat plate can reach 200 mm × 300 mm, and mass production has been successfully achieved. The products are matched with many important military weapon models in China. The "Development of Broadband Transparent Polycrystalline Spinel Window Materials" project won the third prize of National Defense Science and Technology in 2001.
