China once again made a major breakthrough in the international standardization of nanomaterials

Recently, a new batch of standard project documents published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) shows that the two international standards for nanomaterials proposed by our country-"Determination of silicon hydroxyl content on the surface of gas-phase nanosilica" and "Photocatalytic nanometer titanium dioxide" 》 The ISO / TC 256 committee successfully passed the project vote and became ISO's new international standard setting project. This is a new major breakthrough made by China's nano-enterprises in the field of international standardization of nano-materials following the presidency of the release of the international standard of "Ferrous Silica for Silicone Rubber" (ISO 18473-3: 2018) in 2018. Nano-enterprises continue to actively participate in international standardization practices and help China's manufacturing nano-materials to "go global" to achieve better results.

According to Dr. Wang Yuelin, the person in charge of the international standard for "Measurement of Silica Hydroxyl Content on the Surface of Fumed Nano-Silica", the new international standard proposal for "Determination of Silica Hydroxyl Content on the Surface of Fumed Nano-Silica" was in the early period 》 The ideas generated during the discussion of experts from various countries during the formulation process. Experts at home and abroad have found that the content of silicon hydroxyl groups has a very important effect on the quality and application performance of fumed silica, but there is no reliable and accurate measurement method in the industry, and it is urgent to establish corresponding detection technology and standards. Dr. Wang Yuelin sharply captured this information, organized the company ’s internal scientific research team in time, and worked together with Sichuan University, Beijing Physical and Chemical Analysis and Test Center to develop a set of methods with higher measurement accuracy after more than a year. After the method was introduced at the ISO / TC 256 annual meeting in October 2018, it was generally recognized by international experts and agreed to start the formulation of the international standard.

The international standard of "Photocatalytic Nano Titanium Dioxide" was presided over by Anhui Xuancheng Jingrui New Materials Co., Ltd. The company's technical director Xu Jin said that after nearly 10 years of development, the company has become a leader in the domestic photocatalytic titanium dioxide industry , Has the world's advanced technology and domestic nano-materials top technology and R & D equipment team, of which, preparation, production and particle size control technology, calcination technology control system has reached the international advanced level, the JR05 nano-titanium dioxide developed can be compared with similar internationally renowned products Comparable, some performance indicators are at the international advanced level. Since 2010, Xuancheng Jingrui New Materials Co., Ltd. has participated in the formulation of 9 national standards and international standards such as "Nano Alumina" and "Photocatalytic Nanomaterial Photolysis Index Test Method", and now is in charge of the formulation of "Photocatalytic Nano Titanium Dioxide" International standards are both active contributors and beneficiaries of standardization.

"The formulation of these two international standards is not only a vivid epitome of China's nano-enterprises actively participating in international standardization practices, giving out Chinese voices, and contributing to Chinese programs, but it will also lay a solid foundation for China to win the respect of international peers and customer recognition." Dai Shifeng, convener of the International Working Group of ISO / TC 256 / WG 7 Functional Pigments and Body Pigments

Nano-silica and nano-titania are new materials with excellent properties and nano-effects. They are widely used in environmental governance, energy-saving materials, advanced ceramics, medicine, daily chemical and other fields. They are by far the most widely used nano-powder materials . However, the preparation process of these two nanomaterials is complicated, the equipment requirements are high, the engineering technology is difficult, and the large-scale preparation technology is difficult. European and American multinational companies have realized industrialization by virtue of their first-mover advantage in technology, and have deployed a large number of patents, which have formed many technical obstacles to Chinese companies' technological innovation. A group of Chinese nano enterprises represented by Anhui Xuancheng Jingrui New Materials Co., Ltd. did not fear hardships and faced difficulties, overcome various technical difficulties and equipment problems in industrialization, and successfully achieved nano materials through more than ten years of efforts The scale of localization and the formation of core technology and industrialized equipment with complete independent intellectual property rights have broken the long-term monopoly of foreign companies and laid the foundation for the establishment of international standards.
