China releases international standard ISO 24565 for ceramic-lined tubing for oil and gas industry Hay:D04ZGSY

The international standard ISO 24565 "Ceramic Lined Tubing for Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry", which was formulated by ZGSY Petroleum Engineering Materials Technology Corporation, was officially released, filling the gap in China's leading international standards for petroleum tubing products.


This international standard mainly specifies the technical requirements for the manufacturing process, material requirements, mechanical properties, inspection and testing of ceramic-lined tubing for oil and gas industry, and is applicable to the manufacture and remanufacturing of new (old) ceramic-lined tubing for oil production and water injection. Ceramic lined tubing is a high-tech product that combines the ceramic layer on the inner wall of the tubing by using the "self-propagating high temperature synthesis method". It has the characteristics of wear resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and anti-scaling. More than 30 times, especially suitable for oil and water wells with severe corrosion, scaling and waxing.

Due to corrosion, wear, mechanical damage and other reasons, China has a huge amount of scrapped metal oil pipes every year, which brings huge economic losses, waste of energy resources and environmental hazards. Strengthening the anti-corrosion, wear-resistant and mechanical properties of metal oil pipes, and at the same time realizing the remanufacturing and reuse of waste oil pipes, can not only reduce the failure risk of oil pipes from the source.

Because developed countries have a long history of development and technological accumulation in the field of traditional petroleum tubular product manufacturing, they have long dominated the formulation of international standards for petroleum tubular products, forming deep technical barriers. It is difficult for China to lead the formulation of product standards in the field of international petroleum tubular products. Heavy.


Relying on national and provincial scientific research projects, ZGSY has cooperated with petroleum pipeline equipment manufacturing enterprises. It took more than ten years to develop 6 new technologies and new equipment for the evaluation and testing of ceramic-lined oil pipelines, breaking the technical barriers of the West.


In May 2018, ZGSY submitted an international standard proposal for "Ceramic Lined Tubing for Oil and Gas Industry", which was successfully established in October 2019, and took the lead in cooperating with 15 representatives from 7 countries including Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, South Korea, France, Italy and Germany. International experts, jointly carry out the preparation of international standards. After nearly 3 years of game negotiation and experimental verification, it finally passed the ISO vote and was officially released.

The successful release of this standard shows that China's technical capabilities in the field of petroleum pipes and the right to speak on international standards have been significantly improved, and it will also lay a foundation for effectively avoiding barriers to international trade, promoting the advancement of the industry's technological level and the green and low-carbon development of the industry.
