China releases the world’s first wireless radio frequency coil for Magnetic Resonance system Hay:F05HFZJ

On December 24, 2023, the world's first medical wireless RF coil was successfully developed in HFZJ. This new achievement breaks the limitations of traditional wired magnetic resonance coils and can be widely used in new medical applications such as targeted drug delivery, brain computer interfaces, and deep brain stimulation in the future. The world's first medical wireless RF coil successfully developed by HFZJ has creatively achieved wireless communication and connection between the wireless coil and magnetic resonance system, possessing comprehensive and complete independent intellectual property rights.

This coil breaks the limitations of traditional wired magnetic resonance coils and can be widely used in new medical applications such as targeted drug delivery, laser ablation, microwave ablation, brain computer interface, and deep brain stimulation in the future. It has important clinical application value. Meanwhile, based on phased array coil technology, by designing unique solutions and utilizing the principles of radio frequency electromagnetic fields, a "magnetic lens" can be formed, greatly improving the quality of magnetic resonance imaging.

Regarding the new achievement of wireless radio frequency coils, relevant research and development units have completed the construction of a series of products. Dozens of products can be compatible with mainstream brands and models of magnetic resonance imaging systems in the market, covering various imaging areas such as the head, thyroid, prostate, pelvic cavity, liver, limbs, etc.
