With the support of the National "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and "863" plan, the country first took the lead in the research and development of new silicon carbide ceramic heat exchange components; in 2009, it successfully developed silicon carbide ceramic heat exchange tubes, and its main performance reached international advanced levels. In 2010, it successfully developed a 1500mm long silicon carbide ceramic heat exchange tube. In 2012, it began to establish a pilot production line for a 3000mm long silicon carbide ceramic heat exchange tube.

The main characteristics of the application of silicon carbide ceramics in the field of heat exchange are its high thermal conductivity and comprehensive corrosion resistance. For the B-C solid phase sintering system, it is difficult to achieve its dispersion in the water-based slurry. Based on the long-term technology accumulation of the group companies and research institutes in the field of silicon carbide ceramics, this difficulty has been solved, and the surface modification of nano carbon black can achieve its uniform dispersion in the silicon carbide slurry.

On the other hand, the key to high-purity silicon carbide ceramic water-based extrusion molding lies in a reasonable powder treatment process. Even dispersion, high-flowing powder and high-plasticity mud are the key.
