In the first half of 2020, the company has made great progress in new products and major technology research and development, and eight products including "very low iron loss oriented silicon steel, 0.18 mm specification 060 grade of the world's lowest loss oriented silicon steel" and other products have achieved world premieres; Twenty iconic technologies such as hot-rolled heat-treated high-strength steel full-process flatness control technology” have achieved breakthroughs; actively integrated into the national scientific and technological innovation system and undertaken national mission research and development such as Xiapu’s fourth-generation sodium-cooled fast reactor steel plate and application technology research and development task. The company's total R&D investment in 2019 accounted for 3% of operating income, total R&D investment of 8.864 billion yuan, of which 77% for new product development and 23% for laboratory research. The company has long paid attention to R&D investment with a view to creating value with more new products in the future.
