On the morning of the 27th, the "Technical Development and Application of Biopolysaccharide Derivative Antibacterial and Antiviral Materials" scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting was held in JN. The appraisal committee passed this scientific research result.

After testing, the antibacterial and antiviral fabrics developed by SDSQ have obvious killing effect on 3 of the 7 currently known coronaviruses (Coronavirus (COVID-19), SARS virus, and human coronavirus 229E) that can infect humans. The test data of the national high-level biosafety laboratory confirmed that for the new coronavirus cytotoxicity (HRB25 strain), the fabric can be 100% inactivated after 60 minutes. The test data of the British independent third-party testing agency VRS (Virology Research Services) also confirmed: Coronavirus (COVID-19) contacted the fabric for 5 minutes, the virus count was reduced by 90%; after 120 minutes of contact with the fabric, the virus count was reduced by 99.99%.

Antibacterial and antiviral fabrics can kill bacteria and viruses that come into contact for a long time and block the spread. The test report shows that the antibacterial and antiviral cotton cloth is still higher than 99% after 30 times of washing. In other words, related products can be worn and used repeatedly without frequent replacement.
