China Welding Equipment Corporation successfully developed a narrow gap argon arc welding robot Hay:Y01BJZH

With the needs of China's nuclear power construction and development, relying on imported narrow-gap argon arc welding equipment has become a "bottleneck" problem in the welding of the main pipeline of China's nuclear industry. On December 8, the narrow gap argon arc welding robot developed by BJZH Welding Equipment Technology Group passed the non-destructive test of the hot section of the nuclear power plant's main pipeline with a 1:1 simulation body, meeting the nuclear first-class quality requirements. This is the first self-developed narrow-gap argon arc welding robot in China’s nuclear power industry, marking that China has the capability to independently develop high-precision nuclear power welding equipment, and has achieved the independence of nuclear power’s key core construction equipment, providing a healthy development Strong guarantee.

The main pipeline of the nuclear island is connected to the reactor pressure vessel, steam generator and main coolant pump. It is the nuclear safety level 1 equipment of the pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant. It bears the high temperature and high pressure of the reactor coolant for a long time during operation, which can be called the aorta of the nuclear power plant. The welding quality of main pipeline joints directly affects the safe operation of nuclear power plants. Nuclear power technology has developed from the second generation to the third generation. According to the design requirements, the main pipeline welding process has also developed from manual welding to automatic welding. Compared with traditional manual welding, narrow gap automatic welding has the advantages of fewer thermal cycles, less welding deformation, more accurate positioning, and higher welding efficiency.

In order to independently develop narrow-gap argon arc welding equipment, the BJZH technical innovation team lasted more than 2 years. From design, processing, assembly to debugging, more than 20 technical difficulties have been overcome, and the narrow-gap argon arc welding robot has been successfully developed and completed. Welding stability test. This time, the simulation parts with the same material and specifications of the hot section of the third-generation nuclear power plant’s main pipeline were used for welding verification tests. The non-destructive welding of the simulation parts was qualified once, which again verified the stability of the overall function of the equipment, and was fully applied for the subsequent main pipeline welding of nuclear power projects. Laid a solid foundation.

The self-developed welding robot is customized and developed on the basis of more than 10 years of experience and data in nuclear power engineering practice. It incorporates intelligent technologies such as remote data processing, visual sensing, and language recognition to further reduce the difficulty of operation.
