On November 16, a basalt pool kiln continuous fiber production line project with a total investment of 330 million yuan was signed at the Huaying Municipal Government. The project will start construction in December this year, and it is expected to be completed and put into operation before December 2019, and the annual output value will reach 390 million yuan. The project investor is SCQY Composite Materials Co., Ltd.
Basalt continuous fibers are widely used in many fields such as fiber reinforced composite materials, friction materials, shipbuilding materials, thermal insulation materials, automotive industry, high-temperature filter fabrics and protection fields. The basalt fiber column is one of the four major fibers (carbon fiber, aramid, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, and basalt fiber) that have been developed in China, and has achieved industrial production.

Sichuan Province has taken the basalt fiber industry as a major industry. In particular, it has taken Huayin together with Dazhou and Chengdu Longquanyi as the priority industrial bases supported by the province. The Woco Basalt Fiber Industry is listed as one of the top ten key industries in the Northeast Sichuan Economic Zone for support. The development of basalt fiber industry in Huaying has natural resource advantages and a good industrial foundation. The signing of the project is a milestone for Huaying's development and will greatly promote the economic development of Huaying.
