On June 5, SZYN Semiconductor Materials Technology Group held a mass production and R&D building groundbreaking ceremony in the high-tech zone. The first phase of the SZYN project has an investment of 8 billion yuan. The plant construction and equipment move in will be completed in 2020, and large-scale mass production will begin today, achieving mass production of 8-inch silicon-based gallium nitride. The production capacity will gradually climb after it is put into production. The production capacity will reach 6,000 pieces/month by the end of 2021, and the annual production capacity of 780,000 pieces of 8-inch silicon-based gallium nitride wafers will be achieved after the project is fully operational at the end of 2022.
