On November 20, at the World Display Industry Conference, HFCH Liquid Crystal Glass Technology Group officially announced that the overflow method G8.5+ (high-generation) substrate glass production line developed, designed and constructed by HFCH has officially achieved mass production.
In recent years, HFCH insists on innovation-driven, continuously strengthens the depth of basic research and the breadth of application, and has made a series of breakthroughs in key technical fields such as high-generation substrate glass micro-defect mechanism research, full application of simulation analysis, key material performance standards, and high-temperature intelligent detection. At present, in the four major aspects of product technology, equipment technology, process technology and key material localization support, it has gathered the advantages of the industrial chain and fully possesses the comprehensive development strength of the G8.5 substrate glass industry.
The successful commercial production of HFCH's 8.5-generation substrate glass project indicates that HFCH has fully mastered the core technologies of high-generation, large-flow, low-defect, ultra-thin and wide-sheet, and high-flatness series of substrate glass. The project has successively obtained more than 600 authorized patents, forming a complete intellectual property system. On June 3, 2020, "China's first high-generation G8.5+ overflow electronic glass production line technology, process, equipment R&D and industrialization" project passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal organized by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and the appraisal expert group agreed : The project is a domestic initiative, fills the gap, and has leading domestic technology and advanced international technology. On September 9, 2020, HFCH's G8.5+ substrate glass obtained the first batch of provincial new material certification.
The high-generation production line mainly produces large-size LCD panels over 32 inches, generally defined as the sixth-generation line or above, referred to as the high-generation line, and the high-generation line, such as G8.5, which means the 8.5-generation line.
