China’s largest amorphous alloy ribbon magnetic material manufacturer and CRRC cooperate to develop amorphous soft magnetic materials for magnetic suspension Hay:F05QDYL

On November 24, CRRC and QDYL Advanced Materials Technology Group launched the "Development of Key Equipment for High-speed Maglev Traction Power Supply Based on Amorphous Alloy Materials" project, and jointly applied with Qingdao University for the 2021 Qingdao Science and Technology Plan Key R&D Project.

CRRC is a leading company in China's maglev rail transit, and the lead unit of China's national key research and development program "Key Technologies of High-speed Maglev Transportation System". QDYL is currently the world`s largest supplier of amorphous soft magnetic materials. Its products have high technical content, high added value, high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection. They can be widely used in power, electronics, aviation, aerospace, rail transit and other fields, especially High-speed maglev train. In the past, high-speed maglev rail train systems used foreign-designed silicon steel materials with medium and long stators. However, as the operating speed of the maglev design has increased significantly compared with the previous period, the iron loss of traditional materials has increased significantly, and it has been unable to meet the requirements of improving the efficiency of the maglev system. Compared with traditional materials, amorphous materials can reduce iron loss by 60-80%, and maglev traction efficiency can be increased by 1-1.5%. While improving product performance, it also enhances product competitiveness.

There is no international precedent for the key equipment of magnetic levitation traction using amorphous alloy materials. After analyzing and judging that there is a possibility of cooperation between the two companies, CRRC and QDYL conducted full exchanges and reached a consensus on the "Exploration of Application of Amorphous Soft Magnetic Materials in Maglev Long Stator". In October, the two companies launched the "Based on Amorphous The project "Development of key equipment for high-speed maglev traction power supply of alloy materials" researches the use of the most energy-efficient soft magnetic materials in the highest-speed rail train system, and cooperates with Qingdao University to apply for the 2021 Qingdao Science and Technology Plan key research and development project.
