Generally speaking, the service life of subway rails can be guaranteed for at least fifteen years, but if the subway rails are corroded due to stray currents, they generally need to be replaced in more than one year.

The subway tunnel environment is complex and changeable. There are rainwater, groundwater, mud and other media, which can easily damage the insulation of the rail to the ground, resulting in stray current corrosion of the rail, which greatly shortens the service life of the rail and affects the safety of subway operations.

 In March this year, the anti-stray current corrosion-resistant coated rail developed by ZJFB Advanced Material Technology Corporation was successfully applied in the Wuhan Metro project, realizing the first corrosion-resistant insulating rail using electrostatic insulating powder coating technology in China's rail transit field. 

The corrosion problem of subway rails caused by stray current has been plaguing many urban subway groups in China. The replacement of steel rails can only be done late at night after the outage. The time is tight and the cost is high. Only 1 to 2 rails can be replaced each time. The track also needs to be calibrated.

At present, the product has been applied to Wuhan Metro Line 2, and will be gradually extended to more subway lines in China in the later stage.
