On February 10, 2022, China's largest high-strength tungsten wire manufacturer: XMHL Tungsten and Molybdenum Technology Corporation announced that the company invested 1.08 billion yuan to build a 60 billion-meter photovoltaic tungsten wire production facility.
The high-strength tungsten wire developed by XMHL is the highest-strength metal wire among the known metal materials. It can replace high-carbon steel wire and has high application value in the photovoltaic industry and semiconductor field. Investing in the construction of photovoltaic tungsten wire production line projects, and developing the application of high-end tungsten wire products in the photovoltaic industry and special environments, is in line with the company's strategic layout of the tungsten industry chain.
By further expanding the application of fine tungsten wires in non-lighting fields, it is beneficial for the company to quickly occupy the application market of diamond wire for photovoltaics.
