FIR Far Infrared Series Flat Metalens


FIR (Far Infrared) series superlenses are made of silicon, based on the surface micro-nano structure design, processed by i-line 365 nm lithography process, and can be used for infrared optical systems in the 8-12um band.


As SZMT's first-generation mass-produced superlens products, FIR series superlenses have the advantages of light weight, low cost, and high productivity. They can integrate infrared sensors to fully meet the needs of thermal imaging and temperature measurement scenarios.

NIR Near Infrared Series Flat Metalens


NIR (Near Infrared) series superlenses are processed by silicon-based semiconductor photolithography process and can be used in near-infrared systems in the 0.78-1.55um band. The main applications include 5G new infrastructure optical communication systems and infrared night vision systems.

VIS visible light series flat metalens


VIS (visible light) series superlenses are made of quartz glass and processed by 28nm and 12-inch large-diameter glass wafer lithography process, and are suitable for visible light 0.4-0.78um band system. This series of products is widely used, including consumer electronics, microscopic imaging, security monitoring, etc.

About Metalens


In recent years, metalens, as a two-dimensional flat lens, were rated as one of the top ten emerging technologies by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2019, and are one of the hot researches in the field of optics in recent years.


In 2021, Samsung announced its super-lens technology, saying that it is developing a more beautiful and thinner flat-screen super-lens mobile phone camera. Samsung's entry allows the super-lens technology to see the dawn of product application.

According to Dr. Tan, CTO of SZMT, compared with traditional lenses, superlenses have four characteristics:


Thin:

The thickness of the traditional lens group is in the order of millimeters to decimeters, while the thickness of the metalens is in the order of 100 nanometers to micrometers (one-fifth of the hair);


light:

Its weight is negligible compared with the traditional lens, which can effectively reduce the weight of the product;


The structure is simpler:


Different from the complex lens group system of the traditional lens, the superlens can integrate all functions on one or two metasurfaces, which will reduce the disadvantages of large product volume caused by too many lenses in the lens module;


low cost:


Metalens are produced by semiconductor technology, and their mass production costs are greatly reduced compared to traditional lenses.
