On August 24, SHEJ New Material Technology Group, a leading manufacturer of high-performance lithium-ion battery isolation membranes in China, disclosed the 2020 semi-annual report. In the first half of the year, the company achieved operating income of 1.441 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.54%; attributable to shareholders of listed companies Net profit was 321 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 17.36%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 267 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 17.14%; basic earnings per share were 0.40 yuan.

The semi-annual report shows that the operating income of SHEJ film products in the first half of the year was 1.028,374,800, a decrease of 7.87% from the same period last year, mainly due to the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic on China's domestic new energy industry and new energy vehicle market.

At present, SHEJ has entered the supply chain system of most mainstream lithium battery manufacturers in the world, including overseas lithium battery production giants: CATL, Panasonic, Samsung, LG Chem, BYD, Guoxuan [German Volkswagen Holding Company], as well as Funeng, Lishen and more than 20 domestic lithium battery companies.

In terms of new product research and development, the company’s lithium battery separator R&D team has achieved a series of results in terms of production efficiency improvement, the company’s lithium battery separator product quality improvement and new product development. There are currently 167 valid patents, and another 140 patents are in progress. Among the applications, 39 international patent applications are included.
