Recently, the first 6016 aluminum alloy hood outer panel supplied by GXNN Light Alloy Technology Group to Xiaopeng Automobile was successfully completed and installed on the production line of Xiaopeng Automobile’s Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province. This marked GXNN’s first aluminum alloy automobile exterior. The board project officially entered the mass production stage.
Due to the extremely high requirements for material mechanical properties, surface quality and comprehensive stability of automotive exterior panels, since 2012, GXNN has begun to pre-research 6016 aluminum alloy automotive exterior panels; in 2016, GXNN introduced the European benchmark car enterprise aluminum alloy automotive panel technology Standards, the production line process development began; in 2017, after the key production equipment (air cushion furnace) of aluminum alloy automotive panels perfected the surface pretreatment function, the performance indicators of the trial-produced 6016 aluminum alloy automotive exterior panels can reach the European benchmark automotive aluminum Technical standard requirements for alloy automotive plates.
After years of hard work by the team, GXNN's 6016 aluminum alloy automotive exterior panels have successively passed a number of OEM material certifications. In August 2020, the Hyundai Genesis door inner panel project began mass production and completed the delivery of the first batch of orders; at the same time, Xiaopeng Motors P7 model car panel products entered the mass production stage, and completed various processes on the production line in Zhaoqing, Guangdong. Line 1,300, and the products are mainly used in engine hood outer panels.
