A few days ago, 500MPa grade high-strength, low-temperature, high-toughness, large-size H-beam products were successfully trial-produced on the large H-beam production line of SGJT Special Steel Technology Group. The average yield strength reached 510MPa, the average tensile strength reached 653MPa, and the elongation reached 24%, -40℃. The low-temperature impact energy is above 70J on average. This marks the completion of the national 13th Five-Year Key R&D Program "High-strength, large-size, easy-to-weld marine engineering steel and its application" sub-project "Research on key preparation technology of marine engineering pipes/profiles and special components" undertaken by SGJT success.

The project was launched in July 2016. It aims to establish a complete offshore steel manufacturing R&D system in China based on the common technology and core equipment research and development of the entire production process of offshore steel, and the localization of high-end offshore steel products as a breakthrough. , Evaluation, testing and application system is the ultimate goal. Relying on the SGJT section steel production line, the project team has systematically studied the key production processes of high-strength and toughness H-section steel alloy design, structure control, inclusion reformation, deformation control, etc., and established the "multiphase structure + refined precipitation control" alloy and structure design criteria. Several pilot trials have been conducted to continuously adjust and optimize the production process, and successfully realized the industrial trial production of large-size H-beams with high strength and low temperature resistant multiphase structure.

The success of this experiment indicates that the SGJT system has mastered the key production process of 460MPa and 500MPa series of high-strength and large-size H-beams, breaking through the technical bottleneck of the localization of high-strength and tough H-beams, leading the development of advanced technologies for H-beams in China and helping domestic marine equipment Go to the world and provide strong technical support.
