On August 18, Apple`s precision magnesium-aluminum alloy precision structural parts supplier TWKC Technology Group announced that its two subsidiaries in mainland China will be sold to HNLS Precision Technology Group, and changes in the global industrial chain structure are accelerating.
TWKC is an alloy die-casting manufacturer in Taiwan, China, and a core provider of metal casings for iPhone and MacBook. In 2019, its market share for MacBook casing supply reached 40%-45%. It is understood that TWKC's assets in the mainland include the Suzhou plant, the Taizhou plant, and the Suqian plant. The two plants sold this time are located in Taizhou.
HNLS is a leading manufacturer of mobile phone glass covers in China. In the glass case and metal middle frame business, it has obtained orders from first-tier domestic mobile phone brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi, and OPPO, and its market share has remained the industry leader;
The shipments of core customers in the automotive electronics market of HNLS are also increasing steadily, and they participate in Tesla's supply chain. According to the financial report data, HNL's performance in 2020 is extremely good, the net profit attributable to the parent increased by 1322.42% in the first half of the year, and the net profit attributable to the parent increased by 1831.3% in Q2.
In this transaction, TWKC sold 100% of the equity of each of the two branches to HNLS Technology for a transaction price of 9.9 billion yuan, all paid in cash. HNLS Technology will undertake the technology and production capacity of TWKC Technology, provide assembly services and components for Apple and other first-tier mobile phone companies, and further strengthen its share in the mobile phone supply chain.
