Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), masks have once become the most necessities and consumables for everyone. Recently, a new nanofiber technology KN95 mask developed by the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hefei Branch can effectively alleviate the problem of mask consumption.
In appearance, this new nanofiber technology KN95 mask is similar to the cotton masks currently on the market, but there is a layer of nano material on the inside of the mask.
Compared with ordinary KN95 masks, the new nanofiber technology KN95 masks are softer and more breathable when worn. Due to the use of nano-materials similar in size to the virus, it can effectively filter viruses, and its stability is further than ordinary KN95 masks.
The KN95 masks currently on the market can be used for about two days without pollution, and the nanofiber masks can be used for about 10 to 20 days without pollution, and the efficiency will not be reduced.
At present, the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is cooperating with a mask company in our city for mass production. It is expected that the new nanofiber technology KN95 mask will be introduced to the Hefei market in about half a month.
