Aiming at the characteristics of coal and kaolin associated with the Zhungeer region of Inner Mongolia, SDJG plans to invest in a high-tech ceramic new material project with an annual output of 2 million tons. The project is 150 acres and the second and third phase projects are 300 acres. The planned total investment is 2 billion yuan. The project construction period is from November 2018 to November 2021, and it will be constructed in three phases.
It is understood that the Zhungeer Coalfield is rich in coal resources. At the same time, there are as many as ten sections of kaolinite deposits developed in the coal-bearing rock series of the Taiyuan and Shanxi Formations. The resource reserves are considerable, with an estimated nearly 5.6 billion tons. The GK5-2 kaolin ore layer, which coexists with the top of the No. 6 coal seam, has a stable thickness, a simple structure, and is extremely easy to develop.
This project comprehensively applies high-aluminum coal and its associated resources to high-tech ceramic materials, on the one hand, it can improve the comprehensive utilization level of Zhungeerqi coal and its symbiotic resources; on the other hand, it can change the waste materials after coal power development into High-value products make Zhungeer Banner become an important global high-end ceramic and raw material processing industry cluster, and become a commanding height for leading the high-quality development of local industries.
In addition, the development and utilization of coal-based kaolin can not only solve the shortage of high-quality kaolin in China, make China the world's largest kaolin resource country, but also develop and utilize the coal-based kaolin resources that were previously discharged as coal gangue. The large-scale processing and utilization of Chinese coal measures kaolin has great social and economic significance.
