Recently, 5 rolls of 4 to 5.5 mm thick wear-resistant steel have been cross-cut on the No. 1 cross-section line of the HGHG Hot Rolling Mill. All performance, shape and surface quality have reached customer requirements. The successful research and development of this product fills the blank of the same type of products of northern steel enterprises, and provides a high-quality raw material for the lightweight design of dump trucks, mining trucks and other models of surrounding commercial vehicle manufacturers.

In the early stage, the R & D team of the hot-rolled high-strength steel of the Technology Center actively conducted market research, conducted in-depth exchanges with surrounding commercial vehicle manufacturers such as Henan and Shandong, and learned that the production of customers' dump trucks and other models requires 4-8 mm thin-size wear-resistant plates A large amount. However, due to the small number of suppliers, long delivery time and high material price, these products have restricted the stable production of vehicles and the lightweight development of bodywork.

In response to this problem faced by customers, the center's technicians tracked the customer's production process many times on the spot, and fully identified the customer's needs according to the processing methods of the materials and the service conditions of various models. During product design, we focused on the abrasion resistance and formability of the product and carried out key research, forming a preliminary design idea.

When you have an idea, go to practice. But how to ensure the toughness and plasticity of the material while improving the wear resistance of the product has become a difficult problem for the technical staff. The technical staff of the center consulted a large number of domestic and foreign technical data, and continuously explored the maximum potential of the company's hot-rolling line equipment, breaking the traditional hot-rolled high-strength steel product development ideas, and designed a new type of product that combines wear resistance and formability.

In the experimental stage, the center relied on the Group's scientific research strength and made full use of the test capabilities of the scientific research institute's pilot base. Three pilot tests have been carried out. Through continuous adjustment and optimization of product composition and rolling cooling process, a set of suitable Production Process. Each performance index of the sample sample met the product design requirements and laid a solid foundation for subsequent industrial trial production. In the trial production stage, the R & D and production team of the center strictly implemented the highest standards, from the inspection of raw and auxiliary materials to the selection of special protective slag, from the improvement of the rolling mill accuracy to the debugging of the cooling model. In view of this product's unique chemical composition system, the product performance has the characteristics of low yield ratio, high hardness, and strong plasticity matching. The company uses advanced controlled rolling and cooling technology to achieve the precise composition of the organization.

In the end, with the joint efforts of everyone, the center successfully completed the first trial production. After testing, the tensile properties, hardness and cold bending of the steel coils are in compliance with the NM400TP product delivery conditions, and the shape and surface quality of the steel plates also meet customer requirements.

Recently, these products have been sent to customers in Hubei and other places for trial. In order to do a good job of follow-up services, the center's technical staff tracked the customer's processing and use process on site, and the product performed well in all process links, and was applauded by the manufacturer's production technical staff. Subsequently, the center will track the service of the vehicle in stages.
