China’s TC4 titanium alloy profile manufacturer successfully developed TC4 titanium alloy large single-weight round wire Hay:A04SXBT

Recently, China's leading TC4 titanium alloy profile manufacturer, SXBT Titanium Alloy Technology Group's wire rod factory has successfully rolled 150 kg TC4 titanium alloy large single-weight round wire billets to for titanium fasteners.

At present, in order to ensure the consistency of fastener size and quality, aviation fastener manufacturers often use imported large single-weight coiled wire for production. However, the unit weight of coiled wire used in China's titanium alloy aviation fasteners is only 10kg-20kg, which cannot meet the large unit weight requirements of aviation fasteners.

After more than half a year of technical research and equipment demonstration, the SXBT project team verified the relationship between the rolling strain rate and temperature rise in combination with the thermal simulation experiment of the SXBT Titanium Alloy Material Research Institute, and continuously optimized the pass and guide system to overcome the difficulty of billet biting and rolling bending. There are many problems such as precise matching of head, surface quality and rolling speed.

SXBT uses a titanium and titanium alloy hot continuous rolling production line, through the computer to achieve temperature and speed control rolling, successfully rolled TC4 single weight 150kg Φ8.0mm large single wire billet round. The large single-weight wire billet produced has high consistency in the structure of the head, middle and tail, and good surface quality. The unit weight of the wire used for fasteners has reached the international level, laying a foundation for the development of TC4 titanium alloy large single-weight round wire for fasteners in China A solid foundation.
