China’s ultra-flat copper-nickel alloy single crystal wafers, 8-inch graphene single crystal wafers, germanium-based graphene wafers and other new materials appeared at the 2020 China International Graphene Innovation Conference Hay:I01ZKSW

On October 16, the "2020 China International Graphene Innovation Conference" was held at Shanghai University. The conference was co-sponsored by the Shanghai Baoshan District People’s Government, Shanghai University and the Graphene Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (CGIA). The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission are the guiding units. The platform and the China-EU Cooperation Graphene Innovation Center are jointly hosted. More than 3,000 graphene material experts, entrepreneurs, and exhibitors from home and abroad gathered together through online and offline methods.

The conference invited Andre Geim, the winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics, known as the “Father of Graphene” and the director of the European Union Flagship Planning and Strategy Committee, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the director of the National New Materials Industry Development Expert Advisory Committee Gan Yong, and the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Qian Yitai, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Project Leader of the European Union's Graphene Flagship Program Xinliang Feng, Science and Technology Officer and Chairman of the Management Department of the European Union's Graphene Flagship Program, AC Ferrari, Founder and Director of the Cambridge Graphene Research Center, Vice President of Shanghai University, Russian Foreign Academician Many top scholars and experts in the global graphene field, including Wu Minghong, gave keynote speeches to deeply analyze the cutting-edge technology and industrial applications of graphene, and jointly explore the future development of graphene.

The research team led by Professor Wu Minghong of Shanghai University has achieved groundbreaking research results focusing on the "precise regulation and application of graphene microstructures", achieving precise control of graphene single crystal quantum dots and single layer graphene microstructures for the first time. , Nature Chemistry and other international journals published more than ten high-quality research papers. This conference was held at Shanghai University and it was a great encouragement and support to the scientific research undertakings of the school.

In order to strengthen in-depth cooperation and promote the integrated development of the graphene industry in the Yangtze River Delta, graphene platforms in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Wuxi, Changzhou and other places and government representatives jointly provide a service platform for the development of the graphene industry in the Yangtze River Delta, and Shanghai Super Hard Technology Dream Experiment Shanghai University has also signed a cooperation agreement with the International Graphene Product Certification Center (IGCC) and the International Standards Consulting Center (ISC). In the future, the three parties will conduct in-depth cooperation in standards, testing and certification.

As the biggest highlight of the opening ceremony, new materials such as ultra-flat copper-nickel alloy single crystal wafers, 8-inch graphene single crystal wafers, germanium-based graphene wafers and other new materials were collectively unveiled, demonstrating China`s presence in the field of high-quality graphene materials. Innovative results. Driven by the technical and functional platform of Shanghai's graphene industry, the ZKSW scientific research team has achieved small batch production of these results, and the product size and quality are at the international "leading" level. Just as monocrystalline silicon wafers have promoted the prosperity and development of the traditional silicon-based integrated circuit industry for more than 60 years, the batch preparation of monocrystalline graphene wafers is conducive to solving the technical obstacles facing the practical use of carbon-based electronic devices and accelerating the promotion of China's carbon-based integrated circuits The leapfrog development of technological innovation also has a profound impact on the large-scale applications of graphene in many frontier fields such as sensors, wearable devices, data communications, and new energy.

This year’s conference set up two conference reports with the theme of “opening up and co-constructing the future of olefins”. There will be multiple conferences focusing on the industrialization of graphene in medical, electronic information, energy saving and environmental protection, smart manufacturing, heat dissipation and other application fields. Featured forum. The annual special forum for graphene international cooperation will also be held during the conference. At that time, the Graphene Alliance (CGIA) will invite top graphene experts from more than 20 countries around the world to gather in Shanghai through the cloud to jointly paint a beautiful vision for the cooperation and development of the global graphene industry
