On the morning of December 3, the GAC-SZYB automobile lightweight composite instrument panel beam project officially signed a cooperation agreement and held a project launch meeting. The two sides have high hopes for the cooperation prospects on the instrument panel beam project. According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly develop composite material instrument panel beams in accordance with the basic principle of complementary advantages in the future, to help passenger vehicles to further reduce the weight and achieve a multi-win strategic goal.
The plastic instrument panel beam (CCB) has strong advantages in light weight, integrated molding, product assembly accuracy, corrosion resistance, and shock absorption, which is the future development trend. It has already been in well-known foreign OEMs such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, etc. Used in some high-end models. SZYB has established cooperation with OEMs from the R & D end, and has developed cutting-edge technologies in advance, which will reserve core technologies for the company's future incremental market for lightweight vehicles.
