Both parties jointly developed new carbon fiber navigation marks and introduced carbon fiber composite materials on traditional navigation marks.
In December 2018, the Shanghai Port Beacon Office conducted a crash test of the new carbon fiber beacon on the 300,000-ton fairway light buoy No. 41. The test vessel repeatedly hit high-intensity light buoys with the new beacon at a speed of 14 knots. The test light buoy remains Intact, "manufacturing" is undoubtedly the biggest highlight of the new top mark. But its advantages are not limited to this. "This new type of carbon fiber composite material navigation mark is very light to use. It used to take three people to put in a lot of effort to install it, and now it can be picked up with one hand by one person." Said with emotion after the bid. The new navigation mark is made of lightweight crash-resistant plug-in carbon fiber composite material. The weight of the carbon fiber navigation mark is about 2.5kg, which is only 1/5 of the weight of the original iron top mark.
Carbon fiber navigation aids also have the advantages of good anti-collision performance, high color saturation, anti-aging, corrosion resistance, etc., which greatly improves the service life of the light buoy, shortens the maintenance frequency, and reduces labor intensity and maintenance costs. In 2019, the Navigation Mark Office has put 136 sets into use in the Ganyu, Yanwei Port, and Dafeng Channels, which is very popular with the first-line navigation markers. In 2020, it is planned to install 900 sets of this top mark on other channels. At present, this product has applied for two patents.
