Chinese companies provide Huawei Magic V2 with Luban titanium alloy gearless hinges Hay:

On July 13, 2023, Honor released its latest folding screen product Magic V2, with its main supplier of titanium alloy shaft covers being XABL.

This device is first 3D printed by XABL, then ground and polished by HNJT, and finally assembled by Raytheon.

The most difficult part of titanium alloy shaft covers is grinding and polishing. The 3D printing cost of titanium alloy is over 20-30 yuan, but the grinding and polishing cost reaches 200-300 yuan.

The "Luban Titanium Alloy Hinge" independently developed by Honor is the core of Honor Magic V2's thickness breakthrough of 9.90mm, and the shaft cover in the hinge is the key factor affecting the thickness of the folding screen. Titanium alloy technology can make the axle cover lighter and thinner, thereby driving a decrease in the overall thickness and weight of the folding screen.

Luban Gearless Hinge Technology

Adopting the Honor self-developed Luban gearless hinge with lighter weight and stronger performance, combined with the cutting-edge integrated casting process, the supporting structure of the hinge has been reduced from 92 to 4 parts, making the opening and closing smoother. Through 400000 German Rhine TUV folding tests, the opening and closing are more stable.
