In January 2021, the company's first 3D printed cervical fusion cage obtained 510(k) marketing approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), becoming China's first 3D printed orthopedic implant product to obtain FDA certification.
USZS uses a laser selective melting (SLM) metal 3D printing process, using titanium alloy powder as the raw material, and the powder particle size is about 30 microns.
