High purity metal material project

 

In order to further extend and optimize the company’s lead and zinc industry chain and the refined and deep processing of metals associated with smelting, and to form a higher quality, better layout and better efficiency refined and deep processing industry pattern, YNCH launched and implemented the high-purity metal materials project.

 

In 2020, based on the completion of technology development, the Company’s new high-purity metal production lines of 5N high-purity zinc, 5N high-purity cadmium and 6N high-purity zinc have achieved commercial production.

 

The products are widely used in semiconductor materials, infrared light-emitting materials, infrared windows, advanced alloys and other cutting-edge scientific and technological fields.

 

High purity germanium project

 

In order to promote the company’s germanium industry to develop from traditional germanium metal smelting to high value-added germanium industry, further refine and strengthen the germanium industry.

 

Since 2020, YNCH has started to implement the research and development of high-purity germanium project, aiming to develop ultra-high purity germanium materials – germanium tetrachloride, germanium dioxide and germanium powder.

 

In 2020, the company will invest in the construction of a 30t/a optical fiber grade ultra-high purity germanium tetrachloride project. In June 2022, the project will be completed and put into operation ahead of schedule, and qualified products will be produced.

 

Ultra high purity germanium tetrachloride is an important dopant in the preparation of optical fibers. The completion and operation of the project has made the company one of the few enterprises in the world that master the preparation technology of optical fiber grade ultra high purity germanium tetrachloride, further improving the added value of the company’s germanium products.

 

In addition, through the construction of the high-purity germanium project, the company formed a continuous extraction catalytic distillation technology prototype of ultra-high purity germanium tetrachloride with independent intellectual property rights, applied for 12 patents related to the purification of germanium tetrachloride, and granted 9 patents;

 

Formed the technical prototype of germanium tetrachloride one-step hydrogen reduction to prepare metal germanium powder, applied for 3 patents, and led the preparation of one industry standard High Purity Germanium Powder.

 

The company will accelerate the research and development of 6N high-purity cadmium and 13N high-purity germanium on the basis of accelerating the realization of the high purity metal material industry project reaching the production capacity and reaching the standard, and carry out the research and development of high-purity and ultra-high purity material preparation technology in combination with other scattered and small metal products of the company, so as to seize the technological research and development highland.
