It represents the latest development direction of the world's nuclear energy and is important for achieving a closed cycle of nuclear fuel and promoting the sustainable development of nuclear energy. Significance is also a key link in the “three steps” of China ’s nuclear energy strategy.

Since 2016, China has begun to build the first 600MW demonstration fast reactor nuclear power unit in Xiapu, Fujian. This project is listed as a major national nuclear energy technology project. It is a landmark project for the development of China ’s nuclear industry in the new era and will open a new Chapter.

Since the main equipment such as fast reactor containers and internal components are under high irradiation and high temperature environment, the comprehensive performance requirements of materials such as radiation resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance and stability are extremely high. For traditional stainless steel and its manufacturing technology A new challenge is presented.

TGJT joined the China Fast Reactor Industry Technology Alliance as early as 2010, and has been relying on its own advantages in technology, equipment, manufacturing technology, etc. The "technical bottleneck" of continuous casting, high-purity 316H electroslag ingot smelting, forging, and 316H stainless steel thick steel plates of 40 to 95 mm for the internal components of the stack have realized the serialization and batch production of TGJT stainless steel materials in the demonstration reactor project Industrialization and full coverage. At present, more than 4,000 tons have been supplied to the fast reactor project, which strongly supports the construction of major national projects.
