The kick-off meeting of the major scientific and technological project "Research and Demonstration of Key Technologies for the Development of High-Performance Magnesium Alloy Die Castings" led by China's leading magnesium alloy manufacturer NJYH Alloy Technology Group was held in Shanghai.
This project focuses on solving the problem of purifying the magnesium metal by direct electrolysis of brucite, developing heat-treatable die-casting magnesium alloys, and researching and developing high-vacuum die-casting magnesium alloy industrialization technologies. The total project funding is 270 million yuan, including 15 million yuan of government special funds Yuan, the implementation period of 4 years, set up a total of three topics: electrolytic magnesium high-purification technology research and development, heat treatment, high strength and high toughness die-casting magnesium alloy design and preparation, magnesium alloy high vacuum die-casting technology research and development.
