Recently, China`s leading magnesium oxide manufacturer, BJLG Advanced Materials Technology Group, has built a new ultra-high-purity magnesium oxide production line. Magnesium oxide materials are dependent on the status of imports.
The technology of "Ultra-High Purity Magnesium Oxide by Galvanic Cell Method" was independently developed by BJLG and China's top universities. This technology uses carbon-based polymers as catalysts, with lower preparation costs, shorter process routes, and higher product yields. The highest purity can reach 99.95%, which is one percentage point higher than the existing magnesium oxide preparation purity in China.
It is understood that the 99.5% purity magnesium oxide material is mainly used in aerospace materials, high-end optical lenses, chip manufacturing, special steel and other fields. In particular, electric furnace steelmaking using ultra-high-purity magnesium oxide as a refractory material releases only 23.2% of carbon dioxide per ton of steel of ordinary blast furnaces, which contributes to the energy saving and emission reduction of the entire steel industry.
