Chinese manufacturer of non-magnetic nickel-chromium-titanium alloy steel releases high-strain steel plates for deep-sea pipelines Hay:A02AGJT

The high-strain steel plate for deep-sea pipelines with a thickness of 31.8mm developed and produced by the Iron and Steel Research Institute of AGJT Steel Technology Group achieved the world's first launch. After the product comes out, it is expected to serve in a deep sea environment with a water depth of more than 2,000 meters, setting the historical record of 1542 meters of water depth in China's submarine pipelines.

Deep-sea oil and gas pipelines are a major form of offshore oil and gas gathering and transportation, but because deep-sea pipelines need to withstand a variety of complex and harsh conditions such as extremely high water pressure and ocean undercurrents, they have extremely stringent requirements on product performance indicators. "High-strain pipeline steel plate and JCOE steel pipe manufacturing technology" is a key research and development project of the national "13th Five-Year Plan", and the research and development results perfectly meet the technical index requirements of deep-sea oil and gas pipelines. High-strain steel plates have been successfully applied to the production of long-season welded pipes for deep-sea oil and gas transportation with a large thickness-to-diameter ratio (thickness/pipe diameter 0.0569), and have successfully passed the inspection and evaluation of the authoritative department.

In terms of mechanism and key technology research, in view of the technical characteristics of deep-sea pipeline steel, the technical team of AGJT Iron and Steel Research Institute has conducted in-depth systematic research on the physical metallurgy principles of deep-sea high-strain pipeline steel strengthening and toughening and plasticization, forming a strong -Plastic-toughening matching design and control, microstructure refinement and multi-component precise control, deformation penetration and uniformity controlled rolling and cooling, and welded joint strength and toughness control under high heat input conditions.
