Chinese medical fishbone line manufacturer breaks Johnson&Johnson’s technological monopoly Hay:P11NJPL

NJPL Medical Device Technology Corporation is a product research and development company for medical grade absorbable polymer materials, and a platform enterprise for the cross application of materials science and clinical medicine.

The company has established two key technical platforms, namely the engineering preparation of biodegradable polymer raw materials and personalized processing of biodegradable medical device products, to achieve independent and controllable control in the underlying materials and processes of medical devices. Based on a deep understanding of clinical needs, the company has created a series of "medical consumables" product pipelines based on biodegradable polymer materials.

In terms of medical consumables, NJPL follows the development trend of minimally invasive surgical sutures and has launched a series of high-end surgical sutures, including absorbable knot free and barb free sutures, anti leakage vascular sutures, and fast absorption barb free sutures; At the same time, focusing on clinical needs such as general surgery, divine surgery, and chest surgery, we have further developed a product portfolio based on existing special sutures. A series of absorbable products such as absorbable hemostatic clips and absorbable skull locks are about to be approved, helping to achieve more benchmark hospital and department layouts.

The inverted needle suture product developed by NJPL is made of poly (p-dioxane) (PPDO) polymer material through special processing. It is cut through 360 degree spiral inverted needle, with a degradation cycle of about 180 days. The suture process does not require knots, making minimally invasive surgical sutures more convenient and easy to perform, greatly shortening the suture time.

At the same time, NJPL collaborates with the Polymer Materials Laboratory of Sichuan University to continuously optimize barbed design, cutting and spinning processes, and break through the synthesis and preparation of underlying raw materials. Currently, it is also the core product among NJPL's commercial products.

NJPL has also developed a series of special sutures based on the usage needs of different clinical surgical scenarios. Among them, the rapid absorption series of special sutures (PGA PCL) and non absorbable surgical sutures (PP vascular suture) have been approved

The medical fishbone thread with higher technological barriers has also been approved, and NJPL has become the second enterprise in the world to master the fishbone thread technology process besides Johnson&Johnson.
