Chinese nanofiltration membrane manufacturer successfully commercializes Polyethylene-supported nanofiltration/PENF membrane Hay:F07BJBS

China's first PENF Polyethylene-supported nanofiltration membrane production line officially began commercial production.

BJBS is the pioneer and promoter of China's nanofiltration membrane technology. The company has realized the industrialization of nanofiltration membranes since 2014. They are widely used in tap water, household water purification, sewage recycling, industrial wastewater, and material purification and recycling. , BJBS is well aware that the key raw materials of nanofiltration membranes, non-woven fabrics and polysulfone, are highly dependent on imports, which is a "bottleneck" technology. BJBS produced a new type of nanofiltration membrane product by cross-fusion of lithium battery industry technology and water treatment technology, and replaced the non-woven fabric and polysulfone in the production of nanofiltration membranes with PE membranes for domestic lithium batteries, and established a new type of nanofiltration membrane product for the first time. The membrane`s nanofiltration membrane production line realizes large-scale production with an annual capacity of 5 million square meters, effectively alleviating the "bottleneck" problem of imported raw materials such as non-woven fabrics and polysulfone.

According to Dr. Tang, CTO of BJBS, because a shark skin-like bionic structure is formed on the surface of the PENF membrane, the micro-turbulence generated during use can make it self-cleaning and has good pollution resistance. At the same time, based on the high strength and good chemical stability of the PE base membrane, it overcomes the problem of weak bonding of conventional nanofiltration membranes. In the process of membrane production, precise chemical control is used to achieve high-efficiency and selective separation of PENF nanofiltration membranes. In addition, in the structure of the nanofiltration membrane, the thickness of the membrane material used in lithium-ion batteries is only one-sixth of the traditional non-woven fabric/polysulfone composite layer, so the new PENF nanofiltration membrane has an ultra-thin Features, can form a higher packing density of the nanofiltration membrane element, and has a higher water flux, and has the advantages of high performance and small footprint.

Experts in the industry pointed out that as a disruptive product, the PENF nanofiltration membrane developed by BJBS has the characteristics of high selectivity, high flux, anti-pollution, and solvent resistance. Due to the sufficient supply of low-cost domestic PE membranes, this The new product is also about 30% lower in cost than traditional nanofiltration membranes. The establishment of a high-performance PENF nanofiltration membrane production line will promote industrial transformation. At present, the product has been successfully applied to household water purifiers and double-membrane tap water treatment, and it also has great application potential in the production process of sewage resource utilization, chemical and biological products.
