The first Naval Equipment Corrosion Control and New Material Development Forum was held in Beijing a few days ago. More than 250 participants focused on the management of the entire life of naval equipment, explored the combination of military and civilian methods to strengthen military requirements, combined with the development of new technologies and new materials, and resolved equipment corrosion control. The forum focused on corrosion control, material testing and identification, and advanced materials development. Corrosion control of marine equipment is a systematic project. Corrosion control technology for naval equipment is a general military-civilian technology. Its technological development is closely related to the national marine development strategy. The military and the land must strengthen the exchange and sharing of resources, talents, information and technology at various equipment levels, promote the rapid development of advanced materials and material analysis and detection technology, and form a virtuous cycle of coordinated development of military and civilians.
It is reported that the navy will use the forum as a platform to carry out the top-level design of naval equipment corrosion and protection work, establish and improve standards, technologies and management systems that can adapt to the full life of naval equipment, develop key technologies for corrosion control, and conduct special scientific research, evaluation, and verification tests. Tackling key problems, breaking through the "bottleneck" technology of corrosion and protection, strengthening the integrated research and application of new technology and new technology for corrosion protection of naval equipment, and improving the level of corrosion control of overall ship equipment.
